Making the move to Kelowna 8 years ago, Ralph feels he made a good choice as he enjoys the wine, sun and mild winters of the Okanagan. Just before graduating from culinary school, Ralph accepted a position as a member of the Hotel Eldorado kitchen team. Now, going into his third summer, Ralph is looking forward to the increased volume of people, weddings, and events.
“I love being busy, I may even need a helper this year,” Ralph describes how he likes to connect with a variety of co-workers on a daily basis.
Around here, we know when Ralph is working because his zest for life can be felt every where he goes. This radiates when he takes post at our Sunday Brunch omelette station, providing exceptional care and service to weekend guests.
Ralph recalls a time when he was left in charge for a weekend filled with functions and was able to pull his team together to get a banquet buffet prepared early as per a guest request.
“After I got it out, I felt all warm and fuzzy. I was praised by the manager and guest; I like being recognized for a job well done.”
Well we sure value his efforts. So what does Ralph recommend from the menu?
“Calamari or anything Justin (the Chef du Cuisine) conjures up,” he describes with enthusiasm.
